How we approach each service
Every watch that comes into the workshop is assessed individually before any work is proposed. We note visible condition, ask about what you've observed, and form a view on what the movement needs. Only then do we suggest a service type and quote a price.
This initial step matters because a watch that appears to need a full mechanical service may only require a regulation adjustment, or conversely, a watch brought in for a simple battery may have a seal issue worth addressing at the same visit. The assessment protects your time and money.
Once service scope is agreed, a single watchmaker handles the work from intake to return. We keep written notes throughout and provide a condition report at collection.

Service 01
Mechanical Movement Servicing
Full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly of mechanical movements, with timing inspection. Suited to everyday automatic and hand-wound timepieces that need routine care. Scope covers a standard service cycle with a written condition note on return.

Process steps
Intake assessment — movement condition noted, scope confirmed, price agreed
Disassembly — all components removed and laid out for inspection
Ultrasonic cleaning — parts run through cleaning cycle, dried, inspected for wear
Lubrication and reassembly — oils applied to correct points, movement rebuilt
Timing check — rate measured on instrument, regulation adjusted as needed
Return — watch collected with written condition report
Process steps
Case-back removal — torque recorded, gasket inspected visually
Battery check — cell voltage measured, old battery removed and recycled
Gasket assessment — condition noted, replaced if degraded (small additional cost, discussed)
New battery installed — correct specification for the movement used
Case-back reseated — correct torque applied for the case type
Water-resistance check — basic pressure test on supported cases

Quartz Battery & Seal Check
Battery renewal paired with a basic gasket inspection and case-back reseat for everyday quartz watches. A practical, lower-cost visit for owners who simply want their watch running again. Includes a brief water-resistance check on supported cases.

Service 03
Vintage Timepiece Restoration
Careful, multi-stage restoration for older and inherited pieces, including movement overhaul, case and dial refinishing where appropriate, and part sourcing. Intended for collectors and owners of sentimental watches who value patient, considered work. Timelines are agreed in advance.
